Reduce your food shop with cashback

Two sites have this week launched web applications and services to help buyers save.

Squeeze out any savings that might come out of the supermarket used to be the Clippers special coupon Preserve.

These people have time on their hands, and explore every persistent, published website and forum for money-off vouchers to spend at the grocery store and handed a stack of papers on the cases that have saved their pounds.

But modern technology and the increase in food prices has turned us all into savers supermarket, and there are more ways than ever to squeeze money from the weekly shopping.

This week the turn two rival site Topcashback and Quidco cashback to launch another tool to shave cash from the weekly shopping. Topcashback launched the snappily named Snap and Save (Milan: SAVE.MI - news), while the launch Quidco Quidco ClickSnap is eerily similar is designed to allow you to make more money from your shopping after your purchase.

If you normally shop online that will already be familiar with the cashback site that allows you to get a percentage of the back costs by clicking on them before you go to your favorite online store.

The new features of both Quidco Topcashback and the exploitation of targeted offer to take pictures from the physical reception and get discount products that put in the cart. Quidco with the service, you can use online as well as with the smartphone, which means that you do not use the application for profit.

Currently, the products are offered tend to be very specific. Quidco has 36 different offers, each of which can be redeemed once a week, while Topcashback have 10 different products available with cashback. The amount offered varies.

For example, if you buy two six-packs of yogurt Petit Filous get 50p cashback with Quidco, Topcashback will be returned while 40p on every purchase Clover (KOSDAQ: 043590.KQ - news) instead of butter.

Both systems operate with a variety of supermarkets. Snap and Save Topcashback is working with the acceptance of Tesco (Other OTC: TSCDY - news), Asda, Morrison, Sainsbury (LSE: SBRY.L - news) 's, Waitrose, Co-Operation (Taiwan OTC: 6401.TWO - news), M & S Food and Iceland. Quidco is working with Ocado, Waitrose, Sainsbury, Morrisons, Asda and Tesco.

Are worth using? The really good thing for two services that can be downloaded as an app on the phone, which makes it easier is that they can be used in combination with the offerings of the supermarkets.

Thus, for example, Pringles Sainsbury two for one, in order to obtain a two-pack for £ 2.50 and also benefit from the cashback 40P by Snap Topcashback and Save.

Petit Filous are two for £ 2 at Sainsbury's and you'll also get 50p cashback meaning that each set of six vessels will cost only 75 p.

The cashback service worth it? Critics argue that it is impractical to send distinct photos of receipts for each claim. Furthermore, given that the products may change over time, it can be familiar with the offer of a product only to discover that it no longer qualifies. It offers all the branded products, which tend to be more expensive than the supermarket own brands.

On the other hand, the application can be downloaded to your phone so you can control the movement, and the ability to combine with other offers means that the savings could be very interesting. If you have a receipt at the end of the shop there is nothing to lose in checking if once you get something decent cashback.

Anyone thinking of going to another trolley to the reception for the photo to be noted that there are limits on the amount of cashback you can get. Topcashback each offer can only be used once a week, while Quidco offer may be reimbursed a maximum of three times for "cycle" or three weeks.

If you are a regular customer brand, it might be worth a look at the receipt of this week and see if you qualify for the cashback. How would Tesco, every little bit helps. * Lidl offers two packages of assorted meats cooked Italian for £ 3, saving 98P * Lidl has reduced 500 g parsnips from 69P to 49P * Valentine's Day is a special offer at the supermarket includes a dozen red roses from Aldi, which is available for £ 5 while stocks last February 11 or you can buy a dozen roses for £ 15 * luxury special Valentine's Day including Lidl Deluxe (NYSE: DLX - news) 2 Beef Wellington 660g for £ 7.99 * Sainsbury has reduced the price of wheat breakfast cereals with grains of cherry-49P £ 1.50 for 500g
